EcoVadis world index honours Bondalti

For the fourth year running, Bondalti has been awarded the EcoVadis platinum medal, the highest awarded by this global organisation dedicated to assessing the sustainability of companies.

Compared to the previous year, the company increased its score from 82 to 83 points (on a scale of up to 100), reinforcing its position in the Top 1% of companies in the sector. The score obtained is well above average, given that around half of the companies assessed in this sector score between 45 and 65 points.

The improvement in the overall index was due to a 10-point increase in the Ethics category, while the results in the other categories - Environment, Labour Conditions and Human Rights, and Sustainable Purchasing - remained well above the sector average.

Bondalti's result reflects its compliance with the strictest ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) criteria and the success of the benchmark practices it has implemented in the development of its business, especially concerning decarbonisation, circularity, process efficiency, good labour practices and organisational well-being, diligence in the value chain, strengthening partnerships and acting responsibly.

‘The renewal of this recognition is the result of a business strategy supported by numerous initiatives and structuring investments aimed at improving the competitiveness and sustainability of our operations in the eyes of all stakeholders,’ said João de Mello, president of Bondalti's Board of Directors.

EcoVadis is a benchmark index in the chemical industry, independently analysing every year the level of commitment and performance of more than 130,000 companies that make up this global network, in which more than 220 sectors from more than 180 countries are represented.
