Vasco da Gama awards highlight iberian relations

The strategic and economic value of the contribution made by companies and personalities to the development of the Iberian market, while at the same time strengthening relations between Portugal and Spain, was highlighted in another edition of the Vasco da Gama awards, an initiative organised by the Spanish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (CCHP) and sponsored by Bondalti.

The awards ceremony, held in Madrid, brought together more than a hundred personalities from the business community and official organisations from both countries, including the Portuguese minister of the Economy, Pedro Reis, the president of the CCHP, António Calçada, and the Portuguese ambassador to Spain, João Mira Gomes, who was honoured with the João Flores honorary award for his contribution to the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.

Bondalti was represented by executive administrator Luís Rebelo da Silva, non-executive administrators Anton Valero and Marisa Poncela, and the commercial administrator of Bondalti Water, Antonio Alonso.

The Portuguese Business Excellence award, given to Bondalti in 2022, went to the Fidelidade Group this year, while the Spanish honour went to CaixaBank - BPI.

Founded in 1971 by a group of Portuguese and Spanish entrepreneurs, the CCHP is a non-profit organisation whose main objective is to support companies with operations in the Iberian Peninsula, as well as to foster economic, commercial, cultural and social relations between Portugal and Spain.
