Bondalti Water supports water collection project in Guinea-Bissau

Bondalti Water financed the construction of a catchment well for daily consumption in the town of Djalicunda, province of Oio, in Guinea-Bissau, thus continuing to support populations severely lacking access to water.

The project was carried out in partnership with TADEH-EMAS - Mobile School of Water and Sanitation, an entity that has been promoting knowledge transfer in this area for over 30 years and provides assistance in the creation of infrastructures in less developed countries.

The action also included a training component, with the construction of a manual pump by the school's students, as well as the drilling of five wells in vegetable gardens and houses.

At the end, theoretical classes were held to consolidate the knowledge acquired in practice. In addition to technical concepts, these sessions focused on basic elements of business management and cost calculation, allowing adequate management of micro-businesses and the provision of services to a larger number of people.

This was the fourth consecutive year of Bondalti Water's involvement in this partnership with TADEH-EMAS, under which similar initiatives were carried out in India and Senegal.
