Aguas Rioja Medioambiente, a company integrated with Bondalti Water, dedicated to the treatment and purification of wastewater, received the ISCC - International Sustainability Carbon Certification, which proves compliance with legal sustainability requirements in the bioenergy markets and documents the tracing of the supply chain of raw materials intended for the production of biofuels.
Obtaining this certification was possible thanks to the fulfillment of a set of criteria, related to the origin of the raw materials and the sustainability of their production and treatment process, as well as to the reduction and the methodology for calculating Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions.
For the company, this certification represents an important step from the point of view of competitiveness and notoriety in its markets, while testifying to the commitment made to the sustainability of operations.
Aguas Rioja Medioambiente is part of the Aguas Alfaro Group, based in the Spanish autonomous community of La Rioja, acquired in 2021 by Bondalti as part of its entry into the water treatment and reuse business.
